#40- LORI LINSTRUTH
She stopped teaching and now she resides in Holland where she works as the manager for Arjen Lucassen. Linstruth first came to prominence in the late eighties when she moved from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of an all-female metal band. It was in Los Angeles that she formed Warbride. Before this, Linstruth had already received exposure by being featured in Mike Varney's "Spotlight" column in the magazine Guitar Player. The ever-changing line-up of Warbride fell apart a few years later and the band was subsequently put on indefinite hiatus. Since 2004 rumours have circulated claiming that Linstruth is re-starting Warbride. Around 2004, Linstruth became involved in Arjen Lucassen's latest project Stream of Passion, touring extensively in 2006 and 2007. Linstruth decided to leave the band in March, 2007. In 2006 Linstruth contributed with two solos on the tribute-project Mountain Of Power, lead by guitarist Janne Stark (Grooveyard Records 2006). By late 2007, Lori left Sweden and headed for Holland where she became Arjen Lucassen's Manager. While Linstruth herself promotes Rammstein as one of her main influences, she is also known to be influenced by Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Ritchie Blackmore, Brian May and Yngwie J. Malmsteen. She uses wah and tremolo effects extensively. In February 2009, it was announced that Linstruth would contribute to Lucassen's latest project, Guilt Machine, as a guitarist and lyricist. Equipment
