Welcome to guitarontheedge.co.uk A Web site dedicated to the best guitarists of all times. A "Reference Website" of some of the best guitarists out there. A few of them passed away but they left us with an irreplaceable music legacy, others retired, and many others still playing for us.

This is NOT a site to show to the world which guitarist is the best. This is a site where people have different opinions and preferences about a particular guitarist. You can vote for your favourite guitarists here and write any comments about who you think is worth to mention and to hold attention. Every hit in any particular guitarist page counts as one vote too!!

So you decide who guitarist is in the top of each style. Many guitarists could be classified in more than one style but I tried to classify them in his/her predominant style.

We have the privilege to start with 93 of the greatests guitarists (I will add more with time!!), which as I said before, it doesn't mean they are the best in any case but they are the most famous and the most considered for the majority of the people. If you see that your favorite guitarist is not on the top of the ranking or he/she is not in the list yet, don't panic! It doesn't mean that your guitar player is worse than the other ones; It only represents taste people tendencies. guitarontheedge.co.uk doesn't compare guitarists. Each player is considered as a unique source of musicality. Best and worse are not contemplated in music and less in this website.

You can have a look in the Biography (retrieved from Wikipedia - (which is a FREE source of information we can use!!), Gallery, or Albums; you can listen to them with a short MP3 sample or watch them in action!! I included another section dedicated to Female guitarists. We always tend to forget that sometimes females play better than males!!!
