CHRIS FEENER

Chris Feener, born in the 14th of March of 1988, is a twenty years old amazing guitarist from Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland, Canada. He got his first guitar when he was 8 years old - after he was registered into music camp.

Being caught air-guitaring to Kiss albums in the privacy of his bedroom for at least 2-3 years prior was, although embarassing for him at the time, one of the best things to ever happen to him, as his parents realized his passion for music, and more importantly.. for Rock Music.

It wasn't until later years that he really developed an interest for it, and dove in head-first. The technology that is computers really only began escalating at that time, and the ability to download tabs online and LEARN tunes that no one would never think possible was a dream that was becoming more and more real. Eventually, he was discovering bands like Ozzy Osbourne, opening the door to the tons of Heavy Metal he had never heard of. Metallica being one.

Dream Theater, however, was one of his most crucial phases, where he learned the importance of TECHNIQUE, Cleanliness in rhythm, as well as aspects of orchestration, structure and creativity. Soon all began coming into focus for him.

He was finalist in Guitar Idol 2008, showing to the world his incredible ability and mastery on the guitar.

Spending hours upon hours each day working to improve his technique and writing ability, his serious case of OCD is still paying off!

In a few years time, he hopes to be touring with a band. His goal in life is NOT to be a solo musician, but rather, satisfying a band and rocking out.

He is currently finishing his first self-titled solo album, due to be realized in the near coming months.
